Postdoctoral Researchers

The Girke lab welcomes applications from highly motivated postdoctoral researchers interested in genome biology, chemical genomics, bioinformatics, and data-driven discovery in the life sciences. Postdoctoral scholars in the lab pursue interdisciplinary projects at the interface of computational biology and chemical genomics, with opportunities to contribute both to biological discovery and to the development of new analytical methods and software. We are particularly interested in candidates who enjoy working across fields, collaborating with experimental scientists, and tackling challenging problems involving large-scale omics and bioactivity data with applications in agriculture and human health.

Graduate Students

Graduate students in the Girke lab receive training in computational biology, bioinformatics, and integrative data analysis within a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment. Projects span a broad range of topics, including omics data analysis, workflow and software development, chemical genomics, and translational applications in biology and biomedicine. Students joining the lab are encouraged to develop both strong quantitative skills and biological insight, while working on research questions that combine methodological innovation with real-world scientific impact.

Undergraduate Students

The Girke lab offers undergraduate research opportunities for students who are excited to gain hands-on experience in modern computational biology and bioinformatics. Undergraduate researchers may contribute to projects involving data analysis, software tools, genomics, or related interdisciplinary topics, depending on their background and interests. We welcome students who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn, including those who are new to research but enthusiastic about developing practical skills in data science and biological research in a supportive lab environment.
